FACULTY OF HADITH AND ISLAMIC STUDIES

Faculty of Hadith was opened in the year 1400-H corresponding to 1980 AD.It is the first faculty of  the university ,teaching the studies of Hadith as well as providing knowledge of belief ,commentary,jurisprudence,principle of juri9sprudence,character of Holy Prophet Muhammad(peace be upon him),history,current Islamic world,principle of propagation,Arabic language,teaching techniques,comparative study of religions,etymology,Arabic Grammar and arranges the debates on sectarian disputes etc.

Under Study and Qualified Students

There are 40 seats available for new admissions every year and 10 to 15 students qualify every year ,till the academic year 1421-H(2000AD)one hundred seventy six students have successfully completed their studies belonged to 40 countries.

Faculty Degree

After study of four years in the faculty ,the Bachelor degree is awarded in Hadith and Islamiat to qualified students.

Conditions to Acquire Certificates

It is necessary for the regular students to attend twenty-five periods in a week in different subjects and to pass the required examination.It is necessary for the private students to pass the study course in four years.

Determination of educational period for completion of study.

Minimum period of study in the Faculty is four years and maximum six years.

FACULTY COUNCIL

Duties Of Faculty Council

1.To prepare a timetable for the next academic year before the ending of existing year and to make decisions for maintaining the ascertainments,educational standards of faculty,composing and compiling with in the law of University.

2.To collect the proposals for review purposes from other sections and to prepare a prescribed course of study.

3.To create system of admission,texts,lectures and enforce attendance rule for the students.

4.To maintain examination rules and fix the timings.

Meeting of Faculty Council

The meeting of the Faculty Council held by the chairman at least once in a month or when needed,the acceptable quorum of the meeting is fifty percent  (50 % )of the total strength of members.

Objections on the passed resolution of Faculty Council

Any objection can be submitted within fifteen(15)days from the date of resolution presented before the Faculty Council,in case the Faculty Council maintain the same resolution,the matter can be submitted before the Board of University who have reserved the rights to approve or reject or make any amendment therein.

Formation of Faculty Council

The Faculty Council shall have the following office bearers:

(a)Dean of Faculty who is also the head of council.

(b)Faculty Attorney.

(c)Head of sections.

AL-SHAHHADAT-UL-ALIA&ALAMIA(M.A.ARABIC&iSLAMIC STUDIES)

A student qualified Al-Shahadat-ul-Alia or holding any graduate level degree is elegible to take examination  through the Board of Wafaq-ul-Madaras-ul-Salfia Pakistan.
